The two maps shown are a population density and population diversity map for the Spokane and surrounding area. The maps show a strong correlation between large population concentrations and population diversity, much the same as the pattern of the rest of the world.
I chose to compare these two maps to determine if the pattern of urban population density and diversity in Spokane could be comparable to that of other urban population patterns across the country. As the maps show and as mentioned above, the pattern is basically the same showing that urban centers have the most diversity while rural areas have very little if any.
